Women are storytellers, they are information keepers, they are historians. Women are the keepers, in their minds and hearts, of the collected history of their families and communities. No matter whether you have a high power job or think you have lead an ordinary everyday life you still have stories. Women, more often than not, don’t embrace those stories, or the power behind those stories.
The Women’s Power Luncheon Series hosted by the Lake County Journal brings together women leaders and business owners to discuss and network on various topics trending in business and the communities they serve.
The next Women’s Power Luncheon is coming up this week, June 29 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Libertyville Mundelein. The topic is The Power of Your Story: For personal and Professional Gain. The keynote Speaker is Denise Barreto, the managing partner at Relationships Happen Now, LLC and former Women of Distinction.
Denise, who is rumored to be running for Governor, is an entrepreneur, author and Tedx speaker. Her keynote will speak on how relevant every person’s story is in today’s marketplace and then challenge all the attendees to find and articulate their story. Joining Denise for a panel discussion are 6 inspiring women leaders from our area:
