1. Round Lake Children’s Neighborhood Museum
This Children’s Museum is a great place for children to run around and use their imagination. They become interactive in pretend play and also get a chance to play with other children!
2. Grayslake Spray Park
Free, Summer fun on a hot day. A beautiful park and picnic area is a bonus.
3. Open gyms Sundays at Libertyville Gymnastics Academy
Whether it is a wet Sunday or hot and humid, children can run off energy in the foam pit, on the trampolines, or one of the 2 bounce houses. (editor’s note, check with the gym for current days and times)
4. Local Libraries
Libraries are a great source of play for children. Not only are you encouraging reading, but there are plenty of puzzles, books on tape, and great children’s programs to join.
5. Behm Homestead Park {Peterson Road ½ mile east of Route 60, Fremont Township/Grayslake} This is a hidden treasure of a park! Brand new equipment, exercise track, baseball fields, and football fields.
