From Highland Park to Hainesville, the Lake County suburbs are vast and everyone is looking for that parent who’s just like them. This month we’re taking a look “Behind the Trike” and meeting the parents who bring Lake County to you every day. Today we meet the shutterbug of the group, Rosemary, “The Mamarazzi”.

Rosemary is one busy momma. With 2 young boys and a daughter, she is constantly on the go. Rosemary and her family moved to Lake County in 2001. After marrying her husband in 2009, they started a family and you can usually find her with her kids, exploring all of the little nooks and crannies of Lake County.
Favorite outdoor spot or activity?
Since the weather has me thinking spring, we love to go to the local parks to let off steam. During the summer, our favorite outdoor spot would be the Grayslake Spray Park. The best part is that it’s free and great for the little ones!
What has been your most outrageous “real mom” moment?
My “real mom” moment would have to be the great stomach bug of 2014. At the beginning of the year, the four of us all got sick. There was that one moment in time when my little one blew out his diaper in my lap at the same time his big brother threw up into my hands… I felt like that was an induction to mommyhood, or I really needed to have some sort of medal after that.
What is your guilty pleasure?
I am a TLC show junky. My portion of the DVR space consists of pure reality show trash. After the kids get to bed I will watch a show or two while picking up around the house or folding some laundry.

What is something your friends would be surprised to know about you?
I’m really quiet and reserved when I first meet someone. Once I warm up to people, I open up my mind and mouth. It’s also surprising to somehow much of a potty mouth away from the kids I can be.
What do you do to recharge?
I get the ultimate recharge by dropping the kids off at the sitters’ house so I can go on a date with my husband. I recharge on an everyday basis after the kids are in bed, and I can watch my trashy TLC shows.

Where do you find inspiration?
When it comes to mothering I look to my grandmother, aunts and friends for inspiration and guidance. When it comes to everything else there’s always Pinterest!
