The American Center for Spine and Neurosurgery backs Busy Brains Children’s Museum Gallery

Give Back

Busy Brains Children’s Museum has been working on a major fundraising campaign since they had a site donated to them last year. This past May we had the pleasure of attending their Brain Builder event and catch up on the building progress.  We also learned that the Double Your Dollars campaign from April raised $7,100 that will be matched by the Rowe Family Foundation.  That however was not even the biggest announcement.

The BIG news is that the American Center for Spine and Neurosurgery {Libertyville} has signed on to a $75,000 gallery sponsorship of the Body Journey Gallery! This huge and wonderful gift will help propel Busy Brains forward to the estimated opening date of Fall 2016.  As inaugural sponsors, the center and its staff will be helping the exhibit committee develop the gallery that will teach children about their bodies and health through interactive and hands-on exhibits.

This is past March the site also had a new roof installed by Local Roofing through donor support. The community support is what makes, and will make, the Busy Brains Children’s Museum experience so special for the Lake County community. Every time you visit you will be reminded that the parents of our community built this–it will be right there on the walls.

Through a partnership with the Neil Estrick Gallery {Grayslake}, families, businesses, and individuals can donate to the museum and create art for its walls all at the same time. Prices start at just $25, click on the picture above for more details.

We are so excited for these developments and to continue to watch Busy Brains grow and the dream of a Lake County children’s museum come to life.
