Just a few short weeks ago we had a beautiful {albeit windy} day for our first Community Bike ride. The fall colors of Independence Grove {Libertville} still shining brightly against the blue sky and puffy white clouds.
A few of us knew others there; some of us knew no one but our kids. The wind and the strangers didn’t stop any of the kids from forming fast friendships and taking off on great adventures. Independence Grove is such a great place for family biking because there are so many different trail options. After we arrived at the Children’s Grove, several of the boys said, “That was too short. Let’s ride more!” So we did, we looped around the playground, went up through the woods, and came back.
The rest of the afternoon was spent creating games and making new friends as they ran all over the Children’s Grove, one of our favorite playgrounds.
You can see more of the event in this little video we made:
Thank you to everyone who came out we can’t wait to do it again!
Special thanks to Old School Montessori for providing water for the event and to Happy Family Superfoods for providing snacks.
