COVID19 Statement:

Experts have advised that the best thing for our community during the current Coronavirus pandemic is to reduce crowded gatherings. As we move into Phase 4 we will be adding more events on our calendar that are happening in person. For the time being, we are waiving our “no pre-registration” rule. Due to reduced capacities at facilities, we feel this is the best way to help both parents and the sites. Please check with the hosting venue, and exercise caution when selecting outings. Ultimately it is your decision if you choose to continue to go to public events and spaces.

For the best and most up to date information on the outbreak locally please visit the Lake County Health Department COVID-19 status page.

We do our best to provide the most relevant and timely information to our readers, but please confirm dates, times, and availability before attending an event.

Events are posted on Little Lake County from information found on, but not limited to, attraction sites, government city sites; as well as submissions from individual attractions, press releases, and PR firms. All events are subject to change without notice and Little Lake County cannot be held responsible.

Little Lake County loves hearing about events!!  Events must be low cost or free and for kids, families or parents. Events must not require pre-registration to attend, and must welcome walk-ins. To submit your event for the calendar please click the green +Post Your Event button on the calendar below.

Questions about the calendar? Please contact Melissa.

{TR} = Ticket Required – this are free events that require a ticket, generally they are handed out just prior to the event.

  1. The events seem to revolve in most part around children and families and although that is nice, there is not a lot for single adults. is there a separate web site for those events?

  2. Is there a way to print out the calendar of just the month of June in one page? A printer friendly version?
When I try to print it, it is wanting to print 25 pages in strange columns.
    Thanks.

  3. Rockin Jump no longer has rockin tots on Saturdays in the summer if you want to make that change. They said it would return in the fall.

  4. There is a new gym opening in lindenhurst called Play Tyme Gym. They are opening at the end of January I believe and have added some classes and prices to their FB page. Just something new to add to the calendar. Thanks for all you do! ❤️

  5. Busy brains POP UP museum will be in Grayslake at the Heritage Center (in the basement) starting January 14 9-8pm and most other days 9-2. $5 for an all day pass. I didn’t see it on the calendar so thought I’d mention it.
