Have you ever seen a hot air balloon up close? What about six of them? Next week, August 24, you will have the opportunity at Grayslake’s First Annual Color Aloft Balloon Festival. This FREE event held in Central Park is sure to be a great time for families with kids of all ages.
The festival starts at 5:30 p.m. and will include entertainment and community booths, including us! We will be there making Hot Air Balloon themed crafts with the kids.
Visitors to the event will get to see the balloons up close and meet the pilots. While there will be no rides given, there will still be plenty for families to see and do. There will be food vendors, live music from Slam Funk and Prairie Sky, a balloon artist, carnival games, and more! The evening will end with a spectacular vision called a “Night Glow,” where the hot air balloons will give off a stunning light display.
This truly unique event in the Lake County area is going to be one for the bucket list, you don’t want to miss out on this experience!
