As the weather starts to warm, we can’t WAIT to start making summer plans. If you have a dancer in your family who would like to try out some new steps, keep their skills fresh, or just take a short-term class without lots of commitment, Dance Academy of Libertyville Dance Camps has LOTS of incredible options for them. Although they are just one week long, each camp involves so much more than just dance. These camps include time to get to know friends by creating art, and developing a performance piece to be proud of. Your dancer will develop a sense of leadership, a broadening of their imagination, not to mention a renewed passion for the art they already love.

Dance Academy of Libertyville Dance Camps
For the littlest dancers with a heart for their favorite movies, check out the four- and five-day dance camps. Starting at age three, children can choose to immerse themselves in Beauty and the Beast, a Plethora of Princesses, The Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and themes of Trolls and Moana. Camps are either Monday-Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (cost is $120) or Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (cost is $150) depending on the date. Camps run one week at a time from June 19 – July 28.

For dancers entering 2nd to 6th grade, the summer camps kick it up a notch. The July 10th “So We Think You Can Dance” camp teaches dancers ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and acro. Not only will their dance moves soar, but they will develop teamwork and artistic skills as they coordinate a performance along with costumes, crafts, a photo shoot, games and a pizza party. The July 17th Cheer and Pom Camp combines pom and kick routines, jazz, hip hop and lyrical with crafts and games. These camps are from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. and cost $350 for one week or $650 for both weeks. Regardless of which you choose, your dancer will come away with more than memories and new skills!
