Come on mommy we’re doing a show for you!
That is my summer. All day. Everyday. My girls have performers hearts and love to twirl, create and perform for family and friends. This summer we’re going to channel that energy and hone her skills at Dance Academy of Libertyville’s Summer Dance Camps for Preschoolers.
We’ve been taking class at Dance Academy of Libertyville for two years and love the playful way they teach ballet to preschoolers. Classes mix proper technique and mechanics with fun and playful activities and even a little French! My daughter loves going and spent all last summer asking when her next dance class would be.
This year she will be dancing Fancy with Nancy but other options are:
- The Doc and her Stuffies are in!
- Princess Prep Camp
- Dancelicious
The best part for this busy mom of four is that camp is short – 1 week. Preschool dance camps are four days for ages 3 through first grade and 5 days for ages 4 through first grade. Camp runs 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., long enough that the other kids and I can do something instead of sitting at the studio but short enough that we can still get in our pool time. At one week we don’t have to worry about vacation planning or missing classes either!
Each camp will work on a dance, costumes, and set around the theme. At the end of the week they will perform for family and friends. If you have a little dancer who has been begging to take class this is a great way to try out both dance and Dance Academy of Libertyville.

June 27 – 30 Princess Prep
Age 4 – entering first grade
Tuition: $150
July 18 – 22 Dance Fancy with Nancy
July 25-29 Dancelicious
