Join Downtown Highland Park for our 1st Annual Oktoberfest in Highland Park.  Help us ring in autumn and celebrate fall.  This year’s event will take place on 2nd Street from Beelow’s to Central.  The weekend excitement to include beer, specialty Oktoberfest cocktails, brats, pretzels and great music acts on our stage along with activities for youngsters and families.

Talent Show – presented by the Irina Makkai Classical Ballet and Dance School

The Talent Showcase at Oktoberfest Highland Park 2019 gives local youth ages 9 to 18 the opportunity to showcase their talents by performing in front of their community.  The goals of this talent showcase are solely to celebrate performing efforts, have fun, and encourage positive feedback. It is not a competition. Downtown Highland Park seeks to celebrate its vibrancy through fostering local talent.  Single and group acts are eligible but some *restrictions apply.

*No lip syncing, backing tracks cannot have vocals, no animals, no liquids and no pyrotechnics allowed. Must be ages 9 to 18 to perform.

Registration Fee: $20 per child.

Registration End Date: All registrations must be submitted online due by September 15th. Must submit an audio sample (2.5 minute limit) to [email protected] after completion of registration.

Show Time: Talent showcase starts at 1:00 pm and is open to the public. You must arrive next to the Razny Jewelers Stage by noon to be eligible to perfom.  The Razny Jewelers Stage will be located on Second Street near Beelow’s.

Music Headliner

Daniel Cronson is a Chicago artist who blends blues guitar, soul elements and RnB rhythms into his own personal brand of Blue Eyed Soul.  He has been independently releasing music since 2016, his first collection of self released music being “Say it Softly”. In 2018 he released his first studio album, Easy D. In 2019 his single “Grand Visions” featuring local artist Kehinde reached #10 on Chicago’s Top 40 BDS HitsYouLove. On may 2nd, 2019, “I Won’t Let You Down” was released globally. Daniel continues to build a reputation as an excellent performer and musician in the Chicago-land area. Daniel has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with great artists such as 3x Grammy Nominated Chicago Bluesman, Billy Branch, Ebony Taylor and more. In 2019 Daniel opened for Los Lonely Boys. Daniel continues to locally tour and release music independently.
