Following the Lunch with Santa event, the annual Light Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in Winthrop Harbor. The parade will line up at the Schlader Recreation Center on 9th Street beginning at 4pm. The parade will step off at 4:30pm.

The parade, lasting approximately one hour, will travel through various neighborhoods throughout the Village and end up at the park on the corner of 8th Street and Whitney Avenue (North side of the Fire Department), where the North Prairie Jr. High School Band will perform, and a special appearance by Santa Clause will take place! Lighting of the tree takes place directly after.

Refreshments and snacks will be served inside the Fire Department. Anyone who would like to decorate a float, a vehicle, or walk in the parade is welcome to meet at 4:00 p.m. at the Schlader Recreation Center.

Don’t miss out on the festive, family fun taking place this weekend!

Happy Holidays from all of us at the village of Winthrop Harbor!
