Come celebrate cultural traditions passed through the generations with a Special Storytime at The Book Stall. Chicago-based illustrator Jacqueline Alcántara joins us on Saturday, January 11th at 10:30 AM for a Storytime and drawing demonstration. She’ll read from her picture book, Freedom Soup, which tells the story of a Haitian family exploring their history and culture by cooking a traditional soup and dancing. This Special Storytime will take place in the store (811 Elm St. in Winnetka) and is free and open to the public.
