Math Counts introduces children to the wonderful world of math in a fun, informative way. Enjoy a special storytime before engaging in fun activities that deal with the basic building blocks of math: sets and patterns, counting, numerosity, geometry – even algebraic thinking! Programming takes place approximately every other Friday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

  • August 30: Insect Counts
    Come on a bug hunt! Count and measure the different bugs and other creatures we find outside.
  • September 13, September 27: Block Counts
    Explore the stages of block play by going through different building challenges.
  • October 11, October 25: Let’s Roll!
    Create your own cardboard dice using numbers or shapes for each side.
  • November 8, November 22: Fabric Here, There & Everywhere
    Create a bar graph by sorting and stacking fun colored fabric squares.
  • December 6, December 20: How Many?
    Let’s tally how many hot items we can find and how many cold items we can find.
