Take part in the kick-off of the Village’s year-long 150th anniversary celebration at this exciting holiday event! Enjoy caroling, a visit from Santa and the magic moment with downtown Glencoe is suddenly aglow.

 

Event Schedule

  • 4-7 p.m.Wine and Beer Stroll​
    Buy a tasting cup for access to beer and wine samples throughout the downtown. Alcohol free options will also be offered. Skip the line and purchase your stroll ticket in advance starting Friday, November 2! Ticket link coming soon.
  • 4-7 p.m. Trackless Train Rides
    Take a ride around downtown Glencoe on the Holiday Train! For free entry, bring a non-perishable item per rider to donate to the Glencoe Community Holiday Drive.
  • 4-7 p.m. Black Friday Shopping Specials
    Shop local this Black Friday! Many of your favorite downtown shopping stops will be offering specials for Black Friday (with some deals extending into Small Business Saturday). A list of participating businesses is coming soon.
  • 5:15 p.m. Lighting Ceremony​
    Watch as downtown Glencoe becomes aglow for the holiday season! Meet at the corner of Park and Vernon avenues to see the new holiday tree – made possible by Chalet Nursery – be lit up for the first time!​
  • 5- 7 p.m. Live Reindeer
    Stop by Wyman Green to see Santa’s reindeer up close!
  • 5:30-7 p.m. Photos with Santa

    After he’s done at the lighting ceremony, Santa and his helpers will head over to Wyman Green. Stop by for a photo and to tell Santa what you want for the holidays!
