People are passionate about their food. Some foods are polarizing, like the never-ending debate over the best kind of pizza: deep dish or East Coast (by the way, the answer is deep dish). Some foods are unifiers, like cheeseburgers. We all know a good cheeseburger when we see one, even if we don’t all like the same fixings. There’s no shortage of places in Lake County to grab a good burger. We’ve asked our fans to share their go-to places to grab burger in Lake County. Burgers and fries are great! And seriously–don’t skip the fries here, they’re awesome. While I have brought my kids here, keep in mind that it’s a pub. We tend to stick to lunch hours and eat on the back patio when weather permits.–Holly
Where is your favorite place to get a cheeseburger in Lake County? Tell us in the comments section.
I went to the Claim Company just for the burger, which I found to be okay, nothing that great. I like my actual burger meat seasoned, not bland. I find that makes for a good starting base. In my personal opinion I find the best burger to be at 17 North in downtown Waukegan. It is a bar/pub so not the most kid friendly, but it has my all time favorite burger: Bacon, egg and cheeseburger!
