That’s why I am excited to tell you about…
Fill a Backpack with Kindness: Volunteer with your Child
Thursday, August 11, 2016
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Join Bright Horizons for a family volunteer activity at their Northbrook, Schaumburg, and Naperville locations. Kids can create bookmarks and drawings to include in the backpacks and school supplies provided by Bright Horizons to donate to local children.
Have fun with your young child while encouraging caring, connection, and compassion for others. All families are invited to bring a new school supply item to donate, but it is not required.
At the same time, you’ll have the opportunity to tour each facility’s enrichment spaces while your kids enjoy free play. Meet and greet with some favorite characters for hugs and photos.
Looking for more ideas on raising social responsible children? Bright Horizons has many resources to help you promote empathy in your children.
When your child attends any one of the Bright Horizons Child Care Centers, you can feel good knowing that the staff is dedicated to helping foster a sense of responsibility and compassion. Each day, their “Our World curriculum” component acknowledges and values the rich cultural heritage of families from all backgrounds. Bright Horizons provides a wide range of experiences for children to learn respect for our world, its diverse people, and the environment.
