If your kids are into reading comic books, then there is no better day than Free Comic Book Day. This day is held every year on the first Saturday in May when many local businesses and libraries give away new comics for free to any fans, young or old. This year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Free Comic book day was canceled. Now it’s Free Comic Book Summer!
Free Comic Book Day 2020
Unlike its usual one-day event Free Comic Book day has been reworked and will take place throughout July and early September. This change will allow for social-distancing and store capacity limits. Being on July 15 and running through September 9, comic stores will receive 5-6 Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) titles in their weekly shipments. Individual locations will get to decide how and when they distribute these titles.

Comic Book Stores in Lake County
Since each store is handling the distribution on their own, please check the store’s website, Facebook page, or by calling to confirm how and when they will distribute. Most giveaways are first come first serve.
