Gifts for Active Kids
If you joined us at our playground tour this summer you probably saw these flying through the air, they were a huge hit. Every time we pull out the bin at my house, kids from toddler to teen come over to compete with each other and see who can launch them the highest, furthest, longest! Multiple varieties are available including glowing ones and the dueling pair you see pictured.

When our cousins pulled these scooters out of their SUV this summer and unfolded them, my kids could not wait to hop on. With a little shimmy and shake, kids zoom around easily. These scooters offer an incredible workout, and no one realizes how hard they’re working because it is so fun! With a ton of models available they offer different experiences from wheelies to 360 degree spins, folding and range from 3 years up. We have two of these already ready for under our tree this year because this is the one thing the kids have asked for.

Spike Ball
Spike Ball is a fast paced game that doesn’t take up too much space. Smash, slam, spike the ball volleyball style to the net. Our crew could barely be pulled away form it at ChiTag this year.

Satryan Ball
It’s a ball, it’s a frisbee, it’s a ton of fun! You can throw the ball, bounce it, kick it, you just might not know where it will go. In two sizes you can get one for the big kids and the little ones! Available from Eclipse Ball.

If you have a playset – or even a tree – this is the best gift you can get. We received one from a family member and it’s brought all the kids back to our yard. Big and small love it (holds up to 150 lbs) it’s easy to swing and they also sell a connector to attach them from one spot making it easy to spin too.
Your kids are turning your living room into an obstacle course anyway why not make it a game? We got to test this game out over the summer and the little ones loved it. Set out the colored targets anywhere you want and and when your tagger flashes you run and tag it. Children don’t need to be able to read to follow the instructions and it gets the energy out.

Loralie shared Chrono Bomb with you a while back. It’s the perfect game for wanna be spies that need a way to entertain themselves. Set up the obstacles and try to beat the clock without hitting the wires.
What’s your favorite active kids gift idea?
