Give Back: Diaper Derby for the Diaper Bank Partnership of Lake County

Woodfield mall Diaper DerbyDid you know that WIC and food stamps do not provide for disposable diapers? Babies in poor or low income families can spend a day or longer in one diaper to stretch out a parents supply.  You can help families in need of diaper assistance and have some fun while you’re at it!

Woodfield Mall is hosting it’s first ever Diaper Derby this weekend, March 8. This fun filled event will match up area babies (under 12 months, not yet walking) in a series of fun crawling contests. Each winner will move up until the grand finale. All racers will receive a goody bag and there will be trophies for the top three finishers.  For siblings and older kids there will be fun-filled activities before, during, and after the races including coloring, crafts, and prize giveaways.

It’s not all fun and games though! Everyone is encouraged to bring diapers for the Diaper Bank Partnership of Lake County.
