The Dunn Museum is a Little Lake County partner.
The Lake County Discovery Museum was a favorite of my family and Little Lake County, and its absence has been felt. Well that all changes this weekend as the Lake County Forest Preserves opens the doors on its brand new Bess Bower Dunn Museum!
The Lake County Forest Preserves moved its collection and the museum to the new location on Winchester Road in Libertyville over the last two years is now ready to show off its new and improved space — with the focus shifting just slightly to really show off the history and people of Lake County. We got a sneak peek of it and is truly an engaging space that tells the history of Lake County. We’ll be bringing you a full look inside next week but first, the celebration!
