Great Trade-in Event at Babies R Us

If you have more than one child I’m willing to guess you have more than piles of old paint in your garage, basement attic, I’m guessing you also have a pile of outdated baby gear.  I know I currently have 4 strollers and only 1 kid (on a bad day 2) who can even sit in them and only 1 use! And carseats, I think those multiply when you leave them alone too long because we still seem to have more seats than children using them!

Time to get purging!

Going on now through February 21th, you can save big on car seats and other baby and kids gear during Babies R Us’ Great Trade-in Event. This is a great opportunity to get rid of recalled, damaged, or expired gear that you can’t sell and save on the gear you need.

What is it and how does it work?

You bring in your old used equipment, no matter the age, condition, or place of original purchase. You get a coupon for 25% off the purchase of a new one. You don’t have to buy what you turn in, so you can turn in a playyard and buy a car seat, but the items do have to be on this list:

  • Cribs
  • Car Seats – any size/stye
  • bassinets
  • strollers
  • travel systems
  • play yards
  • high chairs
  • walkers
  • swings
  • bouncers
  • entertainers
  • toddler/twin beds

Babies R Us goal with the trade-in event is to make sure parents are using the safest products for their children. The products they are accepting are the ones that due to safety concerns may not be the best candidates to be handed down or resold as there is potential for them to have been recalled, lacking in new compliance standards, or be damaged.

Please see the Babies R Us FAQ page for details and exclusions.
