More than just a dance education Dance Academy of Libertyville is a place to learn, grow, make friends, and have fun! This summer they are offering camps for every age and creativity level.  Class, Camp, and Workshop sizes will be limited to ensure the safest possible environment. Additional classes will be added, as needed, to accommodate students.

Pre Academy Camps for ages 3Entering 1st Grade
Monday-Thursday
9:30-11:30 a.m.

At these 4 day camps, your dancer will take class, rehearse, and help create their own sets and costumes. The camp ends with a show for family and friends. 2020 class themes are:

  • July 20-23 Frozen Fun
  • July 27-30 Poppy’s Party

Grade School One Day Camps for 2nd -Entering 6th Grade

A fun way to explore different dance disciplines and ways to cross-train as a dancer.

Join Dance Academy of Libertyville for this fun 3-day virtual mini-camp! Dance, crafts, and costumes that would make any Troll fan happy. We provide all the supplies, music, and 45 minutes of class and fun each day!

Camp Invention

Imaginations soar with the new at-home program, Camp Invention Connect™!

Children in grades K-6 receive four exciting activity kits packed full of materials to get them outside and active as they explore concepts of flight, tackle environmental challenges, build the ultimate sports complex, design the next great invention, and gain confidence as innovators and entrepreneurs! This flexible program reinvents distance learning — it can be screen-free and self-led, or it can be enhanced through online collaboration sessions with Coaches and fellow participants.

Bannockburn

Taste Buds Kitchen whips up fun and new flavors during hands-on cooking camps for ages 4 to 13!

From June 1-August 21, budding chefs can experience a new culinary adventure each week, creating both savory and sweet recipes. Themes include Plant to Plate, Around the World, Baking 101, Baking Championship, Culinary Passport, Chocolate Lovers, Tasty Tales, Cooking Show Favorites, and more! 

Younger chefs, age 4-8, focus on the basics along with kitchen games during a half-day experience offered in the morning from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Afternoon campers age 9-13 tackle advanced techniques and culinary challenges from 1:00-4:00 p.m. And ages 10+ can apply to be a Counselor-in-Training for a full day experience from 9:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. Limited CIT positions are available each week so applying early is strongly recommended.

Gorton Community Center
Lake Forest

Gorton has gone virtual and is offering Virtually Gorton Summer Camps. Offering a wide range of week-long summer camps for kids of all ages. Gorton focuses on offering exceptional arts and culture to the community, and our summer camps embody that vision. Camps run from June to August and encompass a wide range of experiences – all taught by local, experienced professionals in our historic building in Lake Forest.

Summer Camps at Gorton offer a chance for your child to:

  • Learn something new
  • Make new friends
  • Build independence
  • Explore talents
  • Express their creativity

The camps offered vary from week to week, so you can customize your child’s camp experience. For the first time this year, we will be offering a lunch program, so you can count on Gorton for an all-day camp experience!
