Halloween Eats!

halloween recipesSince Halloween is a Saturday this year not only do I have a good 12 hours of trying to keep the kids out of the candy bowl I have to feed them three whole meals + snacks, whose idea was this? Since my sanity requires them to eat more than sugar I’ve rounded up our best and spookiest recipes so we can entice our kids to step away from the candy bowl, at least for a minute.

Halloween Breakfast Recipes

Before they fill their pumpkin pails with candy fill their bellies with pumpkin cheesecake!

halloween breakfast recipesHeather’s festive fall breakfast is a perfect way to start Halloween morning and warm up those bellies, and since it’s filled with cheesecake as far as your kids are concerned they are having dessert for breakfast.

If you are planning on trick-or-treating from sun-up to sun-down then these muffins are the prefect grab and go breakfast.

Or you can spook your kids out with Heather’s Green Muffins, call them Franken-Muffins!

Guacamole for Halloween? Yes! Look at how my neighbor turned it into an awesome Halloween Party appetizer:

Halloween Brain Dip

Simply Cut out the center of a head of cauliflower and use some food coloring to decorate the veins, then fill with guacamole. I would recommend Heather’s Caramelized Onion and Bacon Guacamole, especially if you don’t want to share with the kids.

Once you carve the pumpkin, make seeds that everyone will love.

I cannot claim credit for this recipe, that’s all Pilsbury, but my kids cannot get enough of this mummy version of pigs in a blanket. We must make it every year.

Make Heather’s Taffy Apple Salad and even the non-salad eater will get a treat for Halloween!
