Heller Nature Center – Nature Discovery Days

Mark your calendar for this fun FREE event! Heller Nature Center is having it’s 5th annual Nature Discovery Days on Feb 3, 2018. Fun for the entire family, come discover how much fun winter can actually be!  Nature Discovery Days was created to highlight Heller Nature Center programs and also to help families break cabin fever.

There will be all sorts of fun activities going on such as: a campfire with marshmallows to roast, hot cocoa, winter crafts to make, a touch table, story telling, and learn all about honey bees!

The day is set up as an open house with activities happening all over including in Wander Woods and the Nature Center. Nature classrooms will be open, there will be a craft to take home and exploration of the science of nature. If there is snow, there will be sledding and cross country skiing. If there is no snow, then there will be other outdoor fun including a crackling campfire and  roasted marshmallows.

In it’s ninth year Heller’s Nature Discover Day is a great opportunity to get to know this Lake County gem and explore how much fun you can have outside in the winter.
