Halloween is this week and the weather is looking spooky, and not in a good way. If you are looking for some fun trick-or-treating and Halloween activities that are indoors we’ve gathered them for you all in one place!

Indoor Halloween Events in Lake County
29 October 5:30 Boo BashRegistration Encouraged
{Glencoe} Children of all ages and their families are invited for a Boo-tiful evening filled with crafts, carnival games, candy and treats, entertainment and pizza dinner. Advance registration is encouraged. Cost is $8 per person in advance and $10 per person at the door.
29 October 10:00 a.m. Allergy-Friendly Halloween Playdate
{Vernon Hills} Join Little Lake County and Friends at Busy Brains Children’s Museum for an Allergy-Friendly playdate. There will be trick-or-treating around the exhibits as well as games, pictures, and more! Included with regular admission ($5 per walking child, adults are free).

{Lake Bluff} Dress in your Halloween finest and join us for a not-so-spooky party! Join us for some stories, a craft, and treats, no tricks.
30 October 9:30 a.m. Trick-or-Reading

{Linclonshire} For ages 0-3 years with an adult. Bring your tiny tot in costume for a boo-tastic storytime followed by a trick-or-treating parade in the library.
30 October 5:30 p.m. Halloween Fest

{Libertyvlle} This is a family fun event geared for kids ages 10 & under. Activities include inflatable games, train ride, climb “spider” mountain, costume character, music and more. Admission is $7 pre-registered, $10 at the door (if available) parents and grandparents are free.

{Fox Lake} Teens are invited to watch Halloween episodes of your favorite cartoons! There will be pizza!
31 October All Day Trick or Treat the Library

{Deerfield} Stop by the Youth Services department anytime on Halloween to show off your costume and receive a special (non-food) treat!

{Lake Bluff} Children, teens, and adults can stop by the library on Halloween for trick-or-treating. All you need to do is say “trick-or-treat” to the friendly staff at our front desk and you’ll take home the sweet treat of a $5 fine voucher or Halloween candy. Costume optional but enthusiastically encouraged.
31 October 9:30 AND 11:00 a.m. Preschool Halloween Party

{Wauconda} Preschoolers and their caregivers come in costume and get ready to sing and dance with musician Mary Macaroni in this interactive concert for children. Join our parade and receive a take-home surprise!

{Fox Lake} A special and spooktacular storytime! Dress up in your Halloween costume to listen to stories, songs, and have a yummy treat. For children 5 and under.

{Wheeling} Free tickets required. Ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver. Enjoy a “spooktacular” short Halloween storytime, craft, and game. Costumes encouraged but not necessary. Limit: 25. Free tickets distributed 30 minutes before the program.

{Zion} Children (caregivers too) wear your Halloween costume to this storytime. Age-appropriate Halloween books will be read followed by a craft. For children birth through age 6.

{Round Lake} All Ages – Wear a costume and join us for some friendly ghoulish fun! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space limited to the first 20.
