Have you been trying to make changes in your every day to lead a greener life? Are you looking to connect with local businesses and learn more about how you can make those changes you desire?
In partnership with Nibbles Play Cafe {Wheeling}, Little Lake County will be hosting the first Green Family Resource Fair on April 26, 2013, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Nibbles is generously offering FREE admission to anyone who is coming to the fair! So you can bring the kids and let them play in Nibbles’ great playspace while you learn more about the green businesses that partnered with us for this year’s Green Lifestyle Guide.
In addition to the green businesses, there will also be a Make Two – One for Me and One for You event held by Creatively Caring! At this month’s event, Creatively Caring will be hosting a “What Will You Bring to the Table?” event.
“What Will You Bring to the Table?” is an initiative to mobilize youth from across the county to address child hunger in the US. Children will be making ladybug centerpiece to take home and working on a table cloth used at future events. You can help the initiative by bringing Lunch snacks, non-perishable, that children can prepare themselves. Examples include Granola bars, peanut/sun butter, jelly, crackers, dried fruit, raisins, individual snack packs, pretzels, etc., to donate to children’s meal boxes. Find more details on the event page.
We hope you join us for what is sure to be a fun event that will teach and inspire your children to not only care for the earth but other children as well!
