You know shopping small and local has a bigger impact but knowing where to shop and what to buy may leave you running to the internet for tried and true favorites. We’ve put together a week worth of guides to help you Shop Local and Shop Small to find the perfect local gift for everyone on your list!
Kids Holiday Gift Guide
We’re moms too so we know that when the seventeenth person asks you what your kid wants for Christmas you start to panic thinking of where on earth you will put one more toy. At Little Lake County we are big fans of experiential gifts. Don’t get me wrong, we love toys and games and will share our favorites next week, but this guide, this is the one you send to Grandma and Grandpa and say HEY! Let’s try something new this year.
Swim lessons aren’t just a fun gift, they’re a life lesson! Rosemary loved her time at Goldfish Swim School and saw progress almost immediately. This weekend Goldfish is offering a specially priced package that includes two months of lessons, registration and a bag full of goodies. Contact Goldfish at (847) 371-9000 for more details or to purchase.
The Genesee Theatre hosts tons of fabulous, world class shows that are great for kids and families. (Pro-tip: when available, you can purchase tickets to school shows and go during the day!) Coming in April is a show that no kid or animal lover is going to want to miss–Jack Hanna!
In this awe-inspiring event, Jungle Jack will introduce you to some of the world’s most spectacular animals. Jack will also share humorous stories and amazing exclusive footage from his worldwide adventures. Tickets range from $26.00 to $36.00 plus applicable service charges. Tickets are available by visiting the Genesee Theatre Box Office or online.
Little Lake County is a local business, too, and when you shop our affiliates you help support the site and the families that run it. Here are a few of the things our kids are hoping will be under the tree this year:
