Lake County Farmers Markets: More than Fresh Veggies

One of our favorite activities in the summer is the Farmers Market. It’s about way more than getting fresh vegetables for dinner! Your local Farmers Market is a vibrant community, part block party, part neighborhood meeting. There are activities, music and of course yummy food to purchase and eat. This week is designated National Farmers Market Week.

Lake County Farmers Markets

If you haven’t visited a market this summer pledge to do it this week! We have a handy little printable that lists all the Lake County Farmers Markets by day, there’s one almost every day! Not a chef? Don’t like veggies? I’m sure if you try some fresh local produce you would change your mind! If you need some convincing though to make the effort to shop the markets instead of your local store we have it for you. Like the title says the markets are so much more than fresh produce, here’s a sampling of some of the fun going on in the markets this month, there is something for everyone!
