Father’s Day is this weekend if you’re looking for a quick, easy and LOCAL gift why not stop by one of the several local breweries and pick him up a growler? You’re getting more than just a great tasting craft beer your getting a locally made craft beer as all these locations make there beer on site. Ram is part of Big Horn Brewing Company and can be found in several locations around the country. While it’s a nationally recognized chain it’s all still locally brewed on site. RAM is a fulls service restaurant making it a great stop for Father’s Day!

 

Mickey Finn’s Brewery

Mickey Finn’s is the oldest brewpub in Lake County with anywhere from 6 to 11 different Finn’s made beers on tap. Mickey Finns beer is all natural, with no additives or preservatives. This Father’s Day treat dad to lunch at Mickey Finn’s {doors open at 11 a.m.} and the first beer for dad is FREE.

Tighthead is a microbrewery in Mundelein that creates quality ales and lagers for all seasons. Open on weekends for tours and sales of pints, growlers and refills. They will have a special Father’s day tour at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Call to make reservations.

Started in a home kitchen by a couple of dads Light the Lamp has recently opened a tap room in downtown Grayslake. The room has limited hours unless there is a Hawks game on so follow them on Facebook to keep up to date.
