My daughter is super active. She was walking by 10 months and climbing as soon as she could pull up. When we moved to Lake County, I decided to find her an outlet where she could learn to use her body safely. Our neighbor suggested Libertyville Gymnastics Academy (LGA).

We did a trial class in the baby gym, and both immediately fell in love. As a former high school gymnast, I wanted to make sure we choose a program that taught actual gymnastics skills, not just a song and dance class. I also wanted to be sure it was safe and clean. LGA is all that and more.
The first class we did was in the baby gym. This separate gym at LGA is where all classes for 6mo-30 months take place. From LGA: Babies learn through play and play comes naturally to Babies. Playing with your baby gives them your attention, laughter, and encouragement. You will share in many new explorations with your baby. You can get more details on the Baby Stars classes at the LGA Website.

My daughter quickly moved up to the big gym and is now in the Little Star pre-school program and still loving every minute of it. The instructors are all excellent, taking time to help the ones that need help and push the ones that can handle it a little further. I have been impressed on more than one occasion with how well the instructors can keep a line of 3-4-year-olds moving safely through all the equipment.
Yes, equipment. One of the pluses of this program is they are in the big gym working on real equipment. Many times they are practicing right alongside the bigger kids that are on the team. That is motivating and inspiring the younger kids to do what they could do if they listen and learn.
