A few years ago my college roommates and I started taking a yearly trip with our families. We all have kids around the same age so it was a fun way for us to catch up and for our kids to get to hang out with their pseudo-cousins. Now with more than half the kids in grade school, our schedules have not allowed us to take a trip, in fact, this year just the moms got together for a spa weekend. On these large family trips, we usually stayed at a water-park resort. It allowed us to entertain kids of lots of different ages without having to go off in six different directions. My kids have been begging to go back since our last trip almost two years ago.
Tomorrow we will surprise them and take them up to the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells for a surprise weekend. I am so excited! We have never surprised them like this, and I can’t wait to see their faces! Even more exciting is that next week, I get to send ONE OF YOU to the Kalahari!
