For the last two summers, Little Lake County readers have helped us rock the playground, but this summer we are asking you to go WILD!

From June through August we are partnering with Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital for the Little Lake County Playground Safari 2016. We’ll be swinging on the monkey bars and scaling jungle gyms all over Lake County. Experience familiar favorites or new-to-you outposts of adventure during five different playdates held June through August.
You can’t go on safari alone, and our friends are coming equipped with everything we need for a ferociously good time.

Our presenting sponsor, Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital will outfit our young explorers with the bare necessities by providing sunscreen at all our playground outposts (while supplies last.)

You need sustenance on safari, and our official snack sponsor, KIND will serve their Healthy Grains Bars which contain five super grains and are gluten free and non GMO (while supplies last.)
Each participating park district and host organization will facilitate special programming like craft projects, games, and even visits from some of your children’s favorite characters.

Our special guest, Busy Brains Children’s Museum will bring their interactive traveling exhibits that encourage learning, motor skills, and discovery. You can support their Constructing Curiosity Capital Campaign to help open the doors to Lake County’s first children’s museum.
Finally, our third quarter charity partner, The Diaper Depot (a project of Catholic Charities Lake County Services) , will be accepting diapers of all sizes and wipes for distribution to low-income families in our area. Opened packages are accepted. Take the opportunity to show your kids how giving can be fulfilling!
So pack up your gear mates – We are heading out on a Playground Safari with Little Lake County and Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital!
