What does the CHICKEN say?
There’s a new chick in town, and I’m willing to bet it’s the best cluck you’ve had in a long time. Clucker’s Charcoal Chicken in downtown Libertyville just expanded from their Highwood location and is serving their charcoal roasted, rotisserie chickens to lucky Lake Countians. Their antibiotic and hormone free chickens are raised in the USA and are charred to juicy perfection on site. The Cluck says it the best, “Clucker’s chickens are marinated in a natural blend of fruit juices and fresh herbs then roasted to crispy golden-brown perfection in a charcoal-fired rotisserie. As each bird is carefully roasted, the irresistible aromas of open air charcoal are infused into the chickens giving them a rich, earthy flavor that’s sure to ignite every appetite.” Is your mouth watering yet???
Clucker’s staff boasts that their chicken enchiladas are their fans’ favorite dish. Almost everything on the menu is made in-house, even the guacamole and salsa. My family comes for Clucker’s chicken just as it is–absolutely delicious! The Mother Hen, with its whole chicken, two slaws, two sauces, and two sides, feeds our family of five just fine. And do not forget the sides! From savory garlic smashed potatoes to tender crisp grilled veggies, everything is order-worthy! And their tastebud tempting potato chips are worth a trip all on their own. Soaked in a little sugar and salted to perfection, your family will be fighting over them.
If you have little ones to feed, there is plenty of seating as well as high chairs and a changing table.
Or, after you order at the counter, you can enjoy your cluck on the shaded outdoor patio.
And since convenience is crucial, you can also order online. If you feel like eating in, the Clucker’s-mobile delivers! They will bring your dinner to your door if you live in the area (Gurnee, Mundelein, Vernon Hills), or will deliver catering orders to farther distances with two days notice. We ordered the Whole Darn Farm Feast for a family dinner, and it fed 25–with leftovers!
So when you’re craving a juicy, tender, fall off the drumstick chicken, accompanied by their zesty sauce, give Clucker’s a call. And I’m BEGGING you to give Clucker’s a call just to hear their on-hold music (their chicken rendition of What does the Fox Say) I apologize ahead of time if you are humming it until your next visit!
