School may be starting but there is still plenty of warm weather and water fun to be had. August can actually have some of the warmest days and the best swimming weather of the summer, until that breeze hits your wet skin or you stay out a little too long, it cools off fast! We were recently sent some Dock & Bay Mini Ponchos to try out on our vacation up north and they were the perfect way to stay warm when those August breezes start to blow through.
Dock & Bay Ponchos are made to be absorbent, lightweight and quick drying. They are a high quality suede microfiber that are so soft to touch and super light weight. Even wet it didn’t affect skipping along the beach. The microfiber repels sand, seriously it just falls off with a shake. For this sand-loathing mom that’s huge. I’m fairly certain it is the only piece of clothing that came back from our vacation without sand on it! Microfiber is also absorbent – holding up to two times its weight in water, meaning the kids dry off quickly and feel warm without the bulk of being wrapped up in many towels. It’s also quick drying, even after being full submerged in the washer it was dry on the line in no time. 
The mini poncho is recommended for ages 3-7, that’s my 6 year old above and my 10 year old could wear it, too. The simple design makes it easy for them to put on and pull off on their own. The Poncho also makes it possible to toss on and wear in the car without interfering with seat belts. Makes it perfect for popping on after the beach or pool for the car ride home. The mini ponchos come in four different bright colors and patterns that are fun without being childish. I loved the little details, the front kangaroo pocket perfect for cuddling up and warming cold hands. There is also a hook to hang it inside, not uncommon with cover-ups, but this one is elastic making it easy for both little and big hands no matter the hook size. Each poncho also comes in a soft cotton backpack so kids can bring it with on their adventures.
