We visited on a Monday evening, which was extra nice since they were having a half-price pizza deal. The real exciting part of this news? They have half-price pizza EVERY Monday night! We were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated immediately at a comfortable table.

Within minutes of sitting down, a friendly waitress named Dee came to take our drink order. She was helpful telling us what there was for the kids to order without us even having to ask. Three root beers, a water and an iced tea arrived quickly after she left with our drink orders. We had some time to look at the menu and take in the venue around us. The walls are brightly colored, decorated with Chicago Sports Memorabilia, and flat screen television sets playing different sports on each one.  Tables and booths fill the dining area, but on the other side is a spacious bar with high top tables, a large bar and stools. You can easily watch the big game in there, too, and take advantage of all of their drink specials while you are at it.

Our waitress was  back again before we knew it and we ordered a few appetizers to snack on. We chose beer nuggets ,which were highly recommended by many (and didn’t disappoint), the pretzel nuggets, and the fried pickles–which Dee recommended herself. She also suggested the fried green beans which sounded delicious to me, but the kids voted me down, so I will have to give those a try next time. The kids gobbled up the beer nuggets and pretzels before I could even taste more than one, and I didn’t even get a picture! The pickles were on the spicy side and served with a Sriracha ranch dressing. I could have eaten the whole plate. I would have if I didn’t have little hands grabbing at those, too!

We decided to pretend like we were being healthy after we scarfed down three plates of appetizers, and placed an order for a garden salad for the kids to share, and a chopped chicken salad for us. The salads came out quickly and were delicious. They were all big enough to share, and the greens and veggies were crisp and fresh. In all the excitement about appetizers and salads, we completely forgot it was half-off pizza night!

We had to order a pizza and take advantage of the special, so we ordered a pizza for the kids, 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 plain cheese. The other pizza was for us, and had meatballs and mushrooms. Both were delicious, although we were so full that we each only had one piece and had the rest wrapped up for leftovers to take home!

Our whole visit was made even better by the friendliness of the staff, and the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waitress was attentive, kind and helpful, and the restaurant was bustling enough that our kids could talk, laugh (and even have the inevitable disagreement) without anyone batting an eye at us.

We had a great sampling of the menu, but hope to be back to try some other things as well. There was a full menu filled with burgers, chicken, sandwiches and wraps, other salads, and entrees too. They also have accommodations for people with allergies too–making gluten free pizzas with prior notice. Their specials were plentiful too, most notably, half-price pizza on Mondays and Thursdays, and all-you-can-eat pizza on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
