Little Reviews: Stand Up Paddle Club {Mundelein}

I just took my first stand up paddleboarding class at Stand Up Paddle Club. It was gorgeous day at Diamond Lake Beach in Mundelein. The sun and water were so regenerating and I was so proud of myself for trying something new.

I have fallen in love with this new (to me) sport: SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding).

Krissy is the owner and instructor at Stand Up Paddle Club. She is very positive, energetic, patient and kind. She explained all of the fundamentals so well, and I had an amazing first time. This was the most fun exercise class I have ever taken! The view from the middle of the lake on a paddleboard was beautiful; it felt like I was walking on water.

We ended with a short meditation on the beach. Which, as a busy mom, I really needed and enjoyed.

This experience was just spectacular! I highly recommend it!

Stand Up Paddle Club offers more than just an introduction to paddleboarding class. They have lakefront mat pilates on the beach, SUP PI-YO (pilates/yoga), SUP and Sculpt, Paddle Away and Couples Connect.  Private instruction and parties are also available.

You can register for classes on their website or through the Mundelein Park District.  You can also contact Krissy directly for private parties.

Krissy recommends registering for all four classes in order to learn the fundamentals. However, when the class isn’t full, drop in rates of $45 per class may be available. (Check the Stand Up Paddle Club on Facebook or send an email for specifics.)
