Long Grove Chocolate Festival 2014

Is there anything better than chocolate and shopping? I can’t think of anything better! The Village of Long Grove is hosting their annual Chocolate Festival which is truly a can’t miss event for all chocolate lovers! The event is being held rain-or-shine from 10 am – 6pm the weekend of May 2, 3, &  4th in downtown Long Grove.    Admission is 5 dollars for adults and is free for children under age 12.

Long Grove Chocolate Festival

Endless chocolate doughnuts, chocolate covered strawberries, hot chocolate, and fudge will be available for purchase in the various shops in town. You can also add more chocolate into your visit by purchasing a chocolate tasting card for 5 dollars.  This card will allow you to have a taste of a bunch of different chocolate items offered by select shops and stands in town.  Last time I went to the Chocolate Festival, I purchased one of these cards and it was great! It allowed me to try a little bit of everything rather than having to commit to a whole chunk of fudge or one doughnut.

They had me at chocolate -however, it gets better!  Adults will love the beer/brat tent and chocolate wine pairings. Young children will enjoy various children’s activities including workshops, face painting, pony rides, and kiddie rides. Older children will enjoy rock climbing, rides for kids of all ages, and obstacle courses. Everyone will enjoy the live music from over 30 different family friendly bands performing on four different stages over the weekend.
