Fans of all shapes and sizes are invited to the Vernon Area Public Library’s
Second Annual Mini Comic-Con
Saturday, November 7, 2015
11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The day will celebrate comics, books, movies, and all things sci-fi/fantasy, from Star Wars and Star Trek to Harry Potter and Doctor Who to Minecraft, Marvel, Studio Ghibli, and more. The FREE event is open to everyone!

Super activities for the day include:
- Kids Crafts
- A scavenger hunt
- A costume fair
- Raffle prizes
- Workshops for children, teens, and adults (some require pre-registration).
Don’t pack up those costumes yet; cosplay (costume play) is encouraged! Costumes should be family-friendly and not include weapons. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges in three age categories and the most creative overall. Guest will be able to vote for their favorite between 11:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
Star Wars 501st Legion will be on hand for photo ops. Their movie-grade costumes will also be on display as part of an all-day costume fair. Visitors to the costume fair can learn how to make great Star Wars costumes and accessories on a budget.

No costume? No problem! Step into the super fan booth and show off your impromptu creativity by mixing props from various fandoms. A fun photo strip is your souvenir!
