I love being a momma of a little one, but some days the endless cycle of playdough, Elmo, and Hi Ho! Cherry-O become a little “routine.” I look forward to a structured playtime that is also educational. The fact that someone else gets to plan and clean up the creative mess is an additional bonus. Here are some local mommy and me classes where you can bond with your babe without having to search Pinterest for “projects that don’t involve glitter, paint, or patience.”
While not necessarily a class, your local public library has great parent and tot classes that are FREE! My girls beg to go to the painting classes at the Antioch Public Library and always have a great time. Just keep in mind that these classes might require a pre-registration, and they often fill up fast.
Also, check your local park districts for great inexpensive mommy and me classes. Round Lake Park District has music, cooking, Fairy Tale Fantasy, Old Macdonald, Things That Go, tumbling, messy play, and more!
