Mother-Son Date Nights are rising in popularity and have become an annual tradition for some families. These festive evenings don’t need to be limited to Moms. Grandmas, Aunts, or any special caregiver in your child’s life can participate and forge lasting, magical memories.

Sunday, February 9, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Mother-Son Movie Night
Round Lake Area Park District, Robert W. Rolek Community Center
Cost: $30 per couple, $10 per additional child.
Drive-in for a night of retro fun! Order a snack at the concession stand and personalize a license plate for your family “car”! Then enjoy short films and cinema trivia as we journey back to yesteryear!

Sunday, February 10, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. 
Mother-Son Superhero Dance

Grayslake Park District at Maravela’s Banquets & Catering, 4 Washington Ave., Fox Lake
Cost: Ages 2-7, $18, Ages 8-12 $23, Ages 13+ and Mothers $36
Meet your favorite superhero and make super memories at this fun evening of dinner and dancing! Must register by February 3.

Sunday, March 3, 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.
Mother & Son Bowling
Antioch Parks & Recreation at Antioch Lanes.
Cost: $15.00 per person
Ticket will include Cosmic Bowling, hotdog, chips, water and a memorable photo, along with the shoe rental. Bumper bowling will be available for younger children. No tickets will be sold at the door. Call Parks & Recreation Office at (847) 395-2160 for more information.

Friday, March 15, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Mom and Son Date Night
Wauconda Park District Community Center Gym
Cost: $25.00 Resident/$31.00 Non-Resident, $10.00 each additional sibling
Ages 5-10 years
Boys, it’s your turn to take your special girl (Mom, Grandma, Aunt, friend) out for the night. This special event is designed for each boy and his date to socialize, play games, make a craft, and participate in some great group activities together. Be dressed to run around and have some fun. After all the excitement, kick back and enjoy a pizza snack.

Friday, March 22, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. 
You’re My Superhero

Vernon Hills Park District, Sullivan Community Center
Cost: $20 per resident couple, $25 per non-resident couple, $10 each additional child ($12 non-resident addition)
Dress as your favorite super hero at this new event for boys and their favorite female role model. Bring your mom, aunt, grandmother or other significant female who is at least 18 years old. There will be music, dancing, games, and ice cream to end the night.
