Nutcracker Performances in Lake County {2012}

nutcracker performances lake countyI don’t know about you but I have a serious love of live theater and I am happy to share this passion with my children. Some of you may remember that I have written about The Nutcracker in year’s past and it’s true that I have taken my daughter to see this ballet every year since she was three. This has quickly become one of our favorite holiday traditions. In fact, she loves the show so much that she has insisted since that first show that she would be in the Nutcracker and, after putting it off for two years, this year she is getting her chance to be an angel. Let me add that it helped us tremendously to have read the book before the show so the kids knew the story and understood what’s going on because, well, the ballet does not have any words or singing so the kids would be lost otherwise. But, even if your child isn’t particularly obsessed with the Nutcracker, it is a wonderful holiday tradition and there are several local productions right here in Lake County that you can enjoy with the whole family.
