LLC Gives Back: Local. Family. Fun. It isn’t just the mission. It’s Little Lake County’s vision. What can we do to help our local families? Every quarter LLC explores a local nonprofit organization, introduces them to our readers, and provides examples of ways to make a positive impact in our community.
Winding down for bedtime is my favorite part of the day. We turn down the lights, snuggle, read, and drift off to sleep. For many parents in our community bedtime is the most stressful part of the day as they don’t know where there family will be sleeping that night. This year PADS has seen an increase of 20% in the number of families that are coming to them for help. Families like you and me who don’t have a place to call home.
Little Lake County has partnered with Chick-fil-A Vernon Hills and Royal Princess Parties to raise fund and awareness for PADS Lake County at a time when they really need it.
Monday April 25
9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Join Sleeping Beauty and Miss Bonnie as we enjoy stories and make crafts. A representative from PADS will be on hand to tell us a little bit about the organization and how families can help. We will also be collecting travel size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorants, toothpaste, etc. ).
Plan to have breakfast or lunch (or both!) because all purchases will have double rewards! When you order and say that you are eating for PADS a portion of your sale will go to the charity. If you make a purchase during our event you will get to take a picture with Sleeping Beauty!
Tickets are not required for this event however we do ask that you RSVP on the Facebook Event so that Miss Bonnie has enough supplies on hand.
