We go through apples fast! My kids are part fruit bat and just love eating them. However, my husband has an insensitivity and really needs the apples cooked to enjoy them without getting sick. So we have been trying all sorts of recipes besides my tried and true apple pie recipe. This week we made this apple tart

It might be the easiest dessert to make ever, 20 minutes tops to put together. It uses a frozen puff pastry and only 3 apples. We made this with empire apples form Heinz orchard and the verdict was ….ooooooh Appley goodness!

Kate made a Cinnamon Apple Crumb Pie that is both tasty and easy.
Genevieve
Her family’s favorite is to saute them with butter and cinnamon. There are so many ways you can use them after that to top pancakes, waffles, crepes, or oatmeal for a warm and yummy breakfast. If dessert is more your thing you can put it on top of ice cream or eat it plain.
Loralie
The Thomas family is a little more savory than sweet. They like to use them in Soup and Apple Pecan Salad.
Kristy
Kristy sticks with the tried and true applesauce but likes this recipe for mixing up the flavors.
Are you hungry yet? You still have a short amount of time to get out and pick some apples, see our reviews here and be sure to check the orchards website or call ahead. Some of the smaller ones are already done for the season.
