Recently, I took my three kids out to eat lunch in Antioch after a morning of swimming lessons. We arrived at Cafe Book, able to park right in front on the street. There is additional parking to the west in a lot as well.
Cafe Book is a quaint little coffee shop located in downtown Antioch that also sells a selection of books and gifts. Recently, the shop next door, Rustique, closed down, much to my dismay. But, it still exists! Inside Cafe Book there is are a couple of small rooms adjacent on the left filled to the brim with the same home decor and furniture that I love to browse. (editor’s note – this is not the case anymore)
There is a small little alcove just for families with kids to enjoy their food and beverage. The alcove has one adult-sized table as well as a small child sized one. There are small toys to keep the children entertained. This area is right next to the selection of children’s books, so we like to browse the books while we wait for our food.
They have a “Munchkin Menu” for kids with sandwich choices. Their main menu offering is, of course, coffee drinks. There are bakery treats, sandwich options, and gelato to end your meal. We had three kids grilled cheese meals, which were delicious! I had a Cafe Mocha- it was yummy too!
Stop by and try it out!
