Kids who shop for food with their parents while also understanding where food actually comes from are more likely to make healthier choices.  A family trip to the Farmers Market isn’t just fun; it’s an investment in their nutritional future!  Just think how proud you’ll be when your child can correctly differentiate between Red Russian Kale and Lacinato Kale.

While filling your shopping basket with beautiful, locally-grown produce, your kids can enjoy face painting, balloons, and a visit from the Mundelein Fire Truck.  Little Lake County and Lake County 4-H will offer free fun activities and crafts for all kids. Over 20 vendors will offer just-picked fruits and vegetables, fresh-baked bread, pastries, doughnuts, meats, cheeses, and eggs.
