Local Business: Lambs Farm, Libertyville
Visit Lambs farm during the holiday season and you won’t be disappointed! My son and I stopped by this weekend and found the most amazing treasures. The people working on campus are to be treasured most of all, but you can also find some amazing items for sale!
I treated myself to this new holiday bag and now I’m really in the spirit of the season. I also purchased a lovely gift basket for my boss, who is very hard to shop for.
In addition to the wonderful, original, and thoughtful presents you can find there, the mission of Lambs Farm is what really makes it special.
Lambs Farm: where people grow; focused on helping people with developmental disabilities lead productive, happy lives and connecting with the human spirit in us all.

I really felt that mission while we visited; a wonderful connection to other people. The pleasant staff gives you personalized attention, a friendly welcome, and sincere gratitude as you check out.
It’s a shopping experience the whole family will love. There are easy to read maps throughout the grounds. So many stores to choose from that are all open daily. The Sugar Maple Country Store has a delicious variety of jams, cookies, and treats, in addition to unique gift items. The Dogwood Garden and Pet Center is a pet adoption area too. My son fell in love with an adorable puppy named Keyes and loved saying “hello” to the Parrot, who also said “hello” over and over again, they were quite a pair. We also picked up some homemade cookies, supplies, and toys for our pet. The Cedar Chest Thrift Shop is a wonderful place to find that special item on your list and shop environmentally friendly.
If you need a break and want to spend more time there, let the kids run around the adorable outdoor playground or sit down, relax, and have some delicious food at the Magnolia Café and Bakery.
It’s a shopping experience like no other, right here in Lake County! If you can’t make it out there, you can shop online at shop.lambsfarm.org for delicious holiday gifts and baskets for everyone on their list while supporting their programs!
Lambs Farm hosts special events throughout the year; they have Christmas Trees for sale and there is Breakfast with Santa events coming soon, see their website for more details.
