Small Town Bowling in Lake County

There is just something about bowling that brings back childhood memories with my grandparents.  The smoky lanes, dropping six-pound balls on the vinyl floor and the feeling of accomplishment–even if I only got a few pins down.  Nothing really beats it, and bowling is still a family favorite.

The first time I bowled had to have been at Bertrand and I’m not sure much has changed.  Bertrand is truly an old-time experience from the decor to the staff (although you don’t have to keep score on paper and pencil).  The workers and owners are kind, the lanes are fast, the pizza great pizza and also offer billiards. For an affordable bowling experience, Bertrand’s is definitely a place to check out!

An updated bowling alley with comfortable seating and plenty more to do makes Kristof’s an awesome place to explore!  They boast a beautiful alley with everything a family needs to enjoy a night or day out.  With a full service bar and pool tables, it becomes an 18 and older crowd after 10:00 p.m. on most nights.  They also offer mini golf, go karts, batting cages and an arcade to round out your experience.

Don’t judge this alley by its outer appearance.  Lakes has been fully renovated and the welcoming staff makes you feel as though you bowl here every week.  With leagues, pool, Baggo and a great bar, the atmosphere is exactly what we’re looking for in a small town!  I’ve bowled here many times and feel like I’m hanging out with old friends, despite everyone being perfect strangers.
