Star Wars Reads Day – Lake County Events

StarWarsReadsDayIn a galaxy not so far away Jedi’s will gather to celebrate literacy and all things Star Wars at the third annual Star Wars Reads Day. Star Wars fans, authors, and artists will come together in this multi-publisher initiative that celebrates reading and Star Wars. There are several events going on this weekend that you won’t want to miss, and all the events are FREE!

Saturday October 11, 2014

9:00 a.m. Star Wars Reads Day – Barnes and Noble Westfield Hawthorn {Vernon Hills} – day of giveaways and activities in stores nationwide for Star Wars fans of all ages.

11:00 a.m. Star Wars Reads Day – Barnes and Noble Lincolnshire Commons – day of giveaways and activities in stores nationwide for Star Wars fans of all ages.

11:00 a.m. Star Wars Reads Day – Barnes and Noble Deerfield Square – Dress up as your favorite Star Wars character for a day of giveaways and activities in stores nationwide for Star Wars fans of all ages.

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Jedi Training Academy – Indian Trails Library District {Wheeling}- Ages 4 and up.  Drop in for a galaxy of Star Wars games and activities.

1:30 p.m. Star Wars Reads Day – Barnes and Noble Deer Park Town Center – day of giveaways and activities in stores nationwide for Star Wars fans of all ages.

All Day Star Wars Read Day  – Grayslake Area Public Library – Crafts, games and other Galactic adventures await in Youth Services! May the Force be with you! Registered and Drop-In events throughout the day. Costumes encouraged!

GAPL Star Wars REads DAyWe went to the first one at Grayslake and had a great time, the librarians really get into it. They were even featured on the Star Wars Reads Day Facebook Page!
