Sub-Zero Specials January 8th: School’s Closed, They’re Open

NoSchool

Area schools are closed again today. Last night the National Weather Service issued another Winter Chill Advisory in effect until Noon today.  Wind Chill values from -25 to -30 below in the early morning. If you MUST venture outdoors, remember frost bite can occur in minutes on exposed skin – HATS AND GLOVES people!

With that being said, your kids (and YOU) may be experiencing a little cabin fever… You were all set to send them back to school after Winter Break and then…. WHAMMO, they’re stuck at home again.   If you’re telecommuting now and finding it difficult to get work done, Cheryl has a great round-up of indoor play places that have Free Wi-Fi so you can work while the kids play.   Call ahead to make sure they will be open today before you head out.

Many area businesses that cater to kids are feeling your pain, so they’re staying open, offering extended hours or even specials to help you keep the kids occupied.  If you’ve got to get out of the house, bundle up, and check out these open hours and/or available specials:
