And at Taste Buds Kitchen summer cooking camps, children gain the skills and confidence for a lifetime of culinary creativity. Cooking is so much fun with friends. Summer days are all about the kids at Taste Buds Kitchen, the premier culinary entertainment experience for kids, families and adults. Children ages 4-8 enjoy morning camps from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with basic cooking instruction, fun recipes and engaging games. Older kids ages 9-13 attend camp in the afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., where they learn advanced techniques and compete in culinary challenges. Children age 10 and older can apply to be a counselor-in-training for a full-day camp experience. Early drop-off and late afternoon pick-up is available for an additional fee.

Campers create several recipes each day based on exciting, trending food themes such as plant to plate, cupcake or cookie wars, culinary passport, mystery basket, cooking show favorites, and more. Kids will feel accomplished and enthusiastic knowing they can make food for themselves, their family and their friends. Summer camps offer a variety of kid-pleasing recipes such as rustic fruit tarts, sweet potato fries, cinnamon sticky buns, whole wheat pizza, strawberry shortcake and even veggie samosas. Week-long campers receive their own TBK chef apron, a recipe booklet and a special certificate. And if you can’t commit for an entire week of fun in the kitchen, select a single day option for a “taste” of camp. We’re sure the kids will want to come back for a second helping. Classes are fun and perfectly paced for little learners and tweens who want to try their hand at new skills.

Kids learn all about giving back on Bake Sale Thursdays as they whip up a generous batch of bake sale goodies to raise money for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a national nonprofit organization that supports the research of new and improved, and less toxic, treatments for pediatric cancer. At 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays, the bake sales begin and the parents and caregivers are invited to the kitchen to purchase for the cause.

Taste Buds Kitchen holds cooking camps throughout the school year on all school holidays. When school is closed, Taste Buds Kitchen is open! Classes and events are also offered after school and on the weekends, and there are workshops for the entire family to enjoy. Learn a new skill or simply have fun perfecting what you already know.
